Fears & Phobias

Suffering with a Phobia can quite literally take over our life. They can debilitate us from enjoying some of life’s most simple things, from flying to visit family or friends, as well as exploring a new country, going out to the supermarket, keeping ourselves healthy medically or simply just going for a walk. The immense fear that we feel when we suffer with a phobia means that we will do almost anything in our power to avoid certain things or situations and, all too soon, we find ourselves in a world where we stop enjoying the things that we used to do and live life in a bubble.

Some of the most common phobias are:

  • Fear of Spiders (Arachnophobia)
  • Fear of Flying (Aerophobia)
  • Fear of Needles (Trypanophobia)
  • Fear of Public Spaces (Agoraphobia)

Most phobias are born from the result of a distressing or traumatic event that has escalated over time.

Through hypnotherapy we use relaxation to lower anxiety combined with a rewind & re-frame, a technique that moves the emotion away from the experience, creating a new visualisation of how you want to experience the situation. Hypnotherapy can help to disassociate from a fear or phobia. It can help to re-wire our thinking helping to overcome the suffering and gaining back control and allowing you to start to enjoy the freedom of life.
